askSam: Mike, how would you describe your company and your role within it.
MIKE NOVOSAD: DKL Technical is a personnel services company. We provide Technical Contract and Fulltime personnel to companies in the Houston area. My role is primarily in recruiting and marketing.
askSam: What is your work environment like?
MIKE NOVOSAD: We have a small office space with additional facilities available in the building on an "as needed" basis. Two computer systems are in use: one for contact management and the other for administration and the askSam database.
askSam: How are you using the askSam Resume Tracking System?
MIKE NOVOSAD: Currently, we are using the askSam Resume Tracking System as a search tool. First, our Administrator scans all resumes into a computer and adds them to the askSam Resume Tracking System. Then, through a peer-to-peer connection the resumes are made available on another computer that I can access to perform searches and make any modifications that are needed.
The resumes are then searched for key words and the ones that match our search criteria are checked further for other matching factors. The candidates whose resumes match the job requirements are then called to discuss their interest, availability etc.
askSam: Why did you select the askSam system over other products?
MIKE NOVOSAD: The system fit all of the requirements that we had for a resume database and at the right price.
askSam: In what way has askSam helped you in your daily routine as well as your overall operations?
MIKE NOVOSAD: Although we are still entering the bulk of our resumes into the system, we have already realized a tremendous time savings in performing searches. This has eliminated the fatigue of reviewing all of the resumes manually and has also helped to eliminate search mistakes. As we learn more about the askSam Resume Tracking System, I have no doubt that we will appreciate even greater time savings.
askSam: What type of technical support have you received from askSam?
MIKE NOVOSAD: Nothing short of great! I recently had a connectivity problem between our network adapter and the software files. Although the problem WAS NOT an askSam problem, Christopher in the askSam Tech Department was able to identify the problem and fix it!
askSam: What applications do you plan for askSam in the future?
MIKE NOVOSAD: We will be entering our job requisitions and contract openings soon and will also utilize the Report function.
