askSam: Mr. Yeargin, what services do you offer at Yeargin and Associates and what is your role within the organization?
JAMES YEARGIN: Yeargin & Associates provides financial sourcing, telecommunications services, and some specialty health and media products. I try to market those products and services.
askSam: Which of our product(s) do you use and what applications have you found for askSam?
JAMES YEARGIN: We are heavy users of askSam 3.0, though we have from time to time used some of your other products (the quotations database, for example). At the moment we are looking seriously at adapting your Web server application for both in-house and client use.
askSam: How has askSam made your job any easier, faster or more efficient?
JAMES YEARGIN: The short answer is "it's easy to use." We have a number of different products and services so for efficiency's sake we try to keep our data in very specific files. Sometimes our clients or contacts can fax or leave us very cryptic reply messages. But if we have a clue, such as a return phone number, a first name - something on which we can search to update information, we can track products and services very efficiently. In addition multi-file and fuzzy searching make these tasks much easier.
When we find something useful on the Web, which is happening more frequently these days, we can easily grab it, leave it as is, or re-order it later if needed. Same goes for other unstructured text, and sometimes number, data we find somewhere else. Dbase format data conversion has been extremely convenient The proximity searching feature and word list really help to refresh your memory about clients or projects you've not dealt with for a while.
askSam: Can you tell me about what kind of customer support you have received as a user?
JAMES YEARGIN: The customer support has been efficient and responsive. I am particularly pleased that your new features are based on feedback. I have noticed this as newer versions have been released.
askSam: Would you recommend askSam and why?
JAMES YEARGIN: I have and will continue to recommend it because it has produced a very high return for both its learning and financial investment.
askSam: What applications do you plan for askSam in the future?
JAMES YEARGIN: We are looking at it for the near future as a Web based store front for our products and services.
