askSam:  Dr. Jones, you have been using askSam since the earliest versions.  Which askSam product(s) are you currently using?

DR. JONES:  I am currently using askSam 3.0 for Windows.

askSam: How are you using askSam?

DR JONES:  I use askSam mostly to create text databases and text searches. I keep running notes like a journal, and I find it extremely helpful knowing I have one file to go to in order to find a particular reference that I made before. In addition, I am downloading rather large text documents from the Internet to keep up to date in my specialization and for other research. It is a big time-saver for me to chase down, filter the material, and read only what pertains to that part of the subject I need.

askSam: How has askSam made your job any easier, faster or more efficient?

DR JONES: The time that I save in both of the situations described above is significant.

askSam: Can you describe the implementation of our educational licensing program within your department or university and was pricing a factor in deciding to use our products?

DR JONES: I don't believe we have askSam as a licensed program. My copy was bought by me personally.

askSam: Can you tell me about what kind of customer support you have received as a user?

DR JONES: I have not asked for support. But my contacts with the company have always been friendly, and it is a pleasure to be able to speak to a person rather that a menu of voice mail options.

askSam:  Would you recommend askSam and Why?

DR JONES: I am not a sophisticated or power user of askSam, but I would certainly recommend askSam highly for what I do. It is extremely fast and flexible. I imagine that power users who can take full advantage of this unique program would find no other that can compete.

askSam:  What applications do you plan for askSam in the future?

DR JONES: I am starting to author computer-aided learning modules and courses over the Internet. I will be exploring how I might use askSam in that endeavor and will be looking for any suggestions that I can get from askSam staff and customers.
