askSam:   Could you give us a brief background about your company and your Web site?

BOB ZABOR:  Leader Institute is an Atlanta-based firm incorporated in 1987 to address the growing needs for talent in the rapidly-expanding IT (Information Technology) job market. Being involved in IT, most of our customers are highly computer-literate and a web presence seemed an obvious way of reaching out to them. For recruiters and candidates alike, our site provides a gateway to current talent and job order postings, market news, links and resources.

askSam: What kind of information do you have in your askSam databases?

BOB ZABOR: Right now we use askSam mostly to provide a searchable resume database for recruiters and hiring authorities, but we've begun to use it to store web-based form submissions of resumes as well.

askSam: What are the most important reasons you selected askSam?

BOB ZABOR: Since starting our website in 1996, we've been struggling a lot with how to make information in our databases available to our clients. A small CGI flat-file database would have been too slow and limiting, and other database solutions were too big, too expensive, and too difficult to implement for what we needed. So it's basically a good fit for us. Inexpensive, easy, and very capable.

askSam: What benefits have you noticed from your Web site and the Web Publisher?

BOB ZABOR: It's kind of early to say, and we have a way to go before things are set up as we want them, but the response so far has been positive. We get several calls a day because of our web presence.

askSam: What applications do you plan for askSam in the future?

BOB ZABOR: In the near future, we plan to use askSam to create a searchable archive for our weekly newsletter and other site resources.
