The NEAR command in SurfSaver offers you a way to accurately locate web pages stored in SurfSaver by searching for a word by it's position to another word. In other words the NEAR command enables you to find web pages where words are a specific number of words, lines, sentences of paragraphs apart. You can also set the near command to locate pages where words appear in the same sentence, line, or paragraph.
To use the near command simply load SurfSaver and start a SurfSaver Search. In the FULL TEXT box type in the words you are looking for separated by the NEAR command. This will locate the pages where the words appear within 5 words of each other. For example:

"askSam is an essential part of my software tool chest. I can research and collect data from anywhere and any source. Once it is in askSam I can edit, rearrange, organize, and search the information easily. Then I can present it and make it totally useful for other people via the web or CD. Fantastic!"
