Scanning Resumes Into Your Database


To scan resumes into askSam RTS you will need a scanner and an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software. You can choose the OCR product that best suits your needs. There are two options available for scanning resumes into your askSam RTS database.


1. You can scan your resumes and save them as Word, Wordperfect, text or Rich Text Format (RTF) files and then import them as described in the section on importing resumes in this manual or the askSam Users Guide.


2. Select an OCR product with a special utility that will allow you to scan resumes directly into applications like askSam RTS. Packages like Textbrige and Omnipage will add a SCAN or OCR option to the askSam menu so that you can scan in a resume at the cursor position.
