_______
askSam: What applications are you finding for askSam 3.0 Professional?
STAN HANNAH: I am using askSam 3.0 to create electronic 3 x 5 note cards as part of the data collection process for my personal research. I have used askSam to write two books. One of askSam's greatest strengths is in helping researchers organize interview data. Historically, dealing with the large amounts of interview transcriptions has always been a researcher's nightmare. Using askSam, I am able to retrieve interview material by topic, individual and date -- which makes it much easier to discern trends and patterns in the data.
askSam: How has askSam made your job any easier, or faster or more efficient?
STAN HANNAH: askSam serves as a great database tool. When I need to write about change, reengineering, TQM, training or research, I simply type in the key words and retrieve the relevant documents which I then paste into my outline.
askSam: Can you describe the implementation of our education licensing program within your department or university and was pricing a factor in deciding to use our products?
STAN HANNAH: Pricing is important to us. We are now looking at using askSam to index all of our Web materials.
askSam: Can you tell me about what kind of customer support you have received as a user?
STAN HANNAH: Your tech support is top-notch. I had problem importing askSam files into Word 7.0. I was told that the filter was being re-written and I received a disk with the corrections six weeks later.
askSam: Would you recommend askSam and why?
STAN HANNAH: I do recommend askSam to all of my doctoral students. It is simply the best research tool available.
askSam What applications do you plan for askSam in the future?
STAN HANNAH: I plan to use askSam to search our online courses and tutorial materials.
