askSam Adapts to Writers' Working Style

askSam: As a writer and researcher, how are you using the Windows version of askSam?

SHIRL KENNEDY:  I index my notes for major projects plus I index the e-mail messages I keep for reference.

askSam: How has askSam made your job faster and more efficient?

SHIRL KENNEDY: There is not better tool for a journalist or an online researcher...period!  askSam can be set up to work the way *you* work! It's completely done away with my need to print out everything and deal with reams of paper... causing my family to fear a visit from the fire inspector.

askSam: What kind of customer support have you received from us?

SHIRL KENNEDY:  You people are pros in that you provide help without being patronizing. The Web site keeps getting better and better.

askSam: Would you recommend askSam and why?  

SHIRL KENNEDY:  I already have -- numerous times -- to other writers and also attorneys.  

(The local bar association just started up a "law and the computer" special interest group, which I was invited to address.  My best friend used askSam to organize research materials for her masters' thesis in history.   My husband, who handles government accounts for a large utility, has (on my recommendation) requested his employer to purchase askSam for his use.  He plans to scan local county and municipal ordinances into his computer and use askSam to organize and index them.

I first discovered askSam when I worked at a law school library five years ago.   It was love at first sight.   And, as a Floridian myself,  I couldn't be prouder that askSam is a Florida company (which I never hesitate to mention to anyone I speak with about your products)!

askSam: How might you use askSam in the future?

SHIRL KENNEDY:  I may try using it to index Internet URLs.   I'm currently writing a book about Internet research for the American Library Association (ALA), and it's jam-packed with URLs that I will have to keep current for future editions and for the Web site being constructed in conjunction with the book.
