askSam:  Tell us about your organization and your role within it.

JIM WINKER: Having retired from a regular job some years ago, I am now a part-time consultant. This is primarily a one-man shop, but with occasional part-time help.

askSam: What is your work environment like?

JIM WINKER: I work out of a typical home office.

askSam: Which of our product(s) do you use and what applications have you found for them?

JIM WINKER:  I use askSam for Windows 3.0 (under an OS/2 environment) and I also have askSam Publisher which has had only limited use so far. I have developed a sizable bibliographic database for a NASA office (3000 citations and growing), and I have numerous housekeeping databases to go along with it.

askSam: Why did you select askSam over other products?

JIM WINKER: Mostly because of the freedom from having to designate field sizes in a database.

askSam:  In what ways has askSam helped you in your daily routine?

JIM WINKER: askSam has made possible a job that otherwise might not have been practical.
