Network version of SurfSaver lets users share information
gathered on the Internet
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 19, 1999
Perry, Florida -- askSam Systems has added Network support to SurfSaver 1.5 , the newest release of their popular browser add-on. SurfSaver allows you to store Web pages directly from your browser into searchable folders. SurfSaver permanently saves Web padvantage given the "here today, gone tomorrow" nature of the Internet. You can instantly search the pages you save (even when you're not connected to the Internet).
The SurfSaver Network version lets you share the information you collect with SurfSaver. The Network version allows multiple users to save, search, and view information. It's a great way for a workgroup to share research, information, and articles gathered on the Web.
In addition to Network support, SurfSaver 1.5 includes the following enhancements:
Ÿ User-definable drive and directory for folders. Store your SurfSaver folders on ZIP drives, network drives, or anywhere else.
Ÿ Export pages from SurfSaver to HTML (complete w/ graphics) so that users can then modify them with an HTML editor.
Ÿ Modify the date of a saved page.
Ÿ QUICKSAVE to the last folder where you saved a page. Saves time and keystrokes.
SurfSaver is accessed directly from the browser and runs with Netscape 4.0 (and higher) and Internet Explorer 4.0 (and higher).
