Italian Market Welcomes askSam

New askSam Versions in Italian Language Just Released

Perry, FL - August 1996 - askSam Systems has announced the availability of askSam, the award winning free-form database, in the Italian language. Both single user and network versions of askSam 3.0 and askSam 3.0 Professional are now shipping.

Overview of Italian Products

askSam 3.0

askSam is not just another database.  It is an easy to use, full function, free-form information manager. askSam provides complete Internet and on-line support, which allows the user to organize information using hypertext links and bookmarks. It includes an HTML import and export feature that turns web pages into managed documents in a database. The Internet Desktop allows archiving of e-mail and HTML files.  Coupled with its strong search engine, askSam's report writer is a powerful way to generate output in any form.

askSam 3.0 Professional

askSam Professional is by far the fastest version of askSam that has ever existed.  It includes all the features of version 3.0 and adds full-text indexing to askSam's searching.  Search hundreds of megabytes and thousands of documents in a matter of seconds instead of minutes as in previous versions.

System Requirements

The Italian version of askSam will run on any IBM compatible computer with at least a 386  processor and at least 4 MB of RAM. It requires 6 MB of free disk space. askSam runs on the following operating systems: Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT, and O/S2.

askSam's Italian Distributer

MicroBusiness Italiana S.r.l. is a limited liability company incorporated in Milano, Italy. The company was founded in September 1987, and has become a Value Added Distributor, Software Publisher, and provider of Consultancy Services in the area of microcomputers and their application.  Following the consolidation of major software developers, as well as the emergence of the transeuropean multibrand-multiplatform distributors, the company has refocused mostly on localization and fulfillment services to the software industry.  "I bumped into askSam by pure chance in early 1989.  I thought it was a great, innovative idea, so we began to localize it for the Italian market and evangelize users.  Today, not only do I have a friendly program on my PC, always ready to help with all sorts of information, but I have been able to convince many Italian users of the benefits of 'free form databases' to supplant their paper files, notepads, and Post-It! notes," said Mauro Ballabeni, President of MicroBusiness Italiana.

"askSam is an essential part of my software tool chest. I can research and collect data from anywhere and any source. Once it is in askSam I can edit, rearrange, organize, and search the information easily. Then I can present it and make it totally useful for other people via the web or CD. Fantastic!"
