Perry Florida - askSam System's SurfSaver, a browser add-on which allows users to store Web pages directly from their browser into searchable folders, is now available on RealNetworks®, Inc. (NASDAQ: RNWK), Accessories Site.
Once saved, users can quickly search and browse these pages (even when they are not connected to the Internet). Unlike bookmarks, SurfSaver creates a permanent archive of Web pages in folders on your computer -- a real advantage given the "here today, gone tomorrow" nature of the Internet.
SurfSaver is accessed directly from the browser (either Netscape 4.x or Internet Explorer 4.x or 5.x). You can save a single page, multiple pages, or an entire Web site including frames, associated graphics, and hypertext links. The pages are stored on your hard drive in a browser-searchable database.
SurfSaver allows full-text, Boolean, date, and proximity searches in the pages you save. When searching or browsing saved pages, SurfSaver lists the most recently saved page first. It also prompts you when the page you are saving already exists in a SurfSaver folder so that you can either replace the existing page or add the page to a folder.
