The Surf Report - vol. 55 www.askSam.com
================================================================
Tuesday, September 20, 2005
You may have noticed that our Web site and email was down for
several days. The last couple of weeks have been hectic as we've
scrambled to recover from a massive Sprint Internet outage due
to Hurricane Katrina. Obviously, the effects of the storm upon
us are trivial compared to what many of our Gulf coast neighbors
in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana experienced. Our
thoughts and prayers are with them in this difficult time. We'd
like to apologize to any of you who experienced problems over
the last couple of weeks - getting support, ordering products,
or with Web sites housed on our server.
I'm saddened to report that Thomas Hooper, our one of our
support technicians had a serious car accident several weeks
ago. Thomas is a 17 year old honor student, who brought a great
attitude and tremendous ability to our office. Our prayers are
with him, and our thoughts are with his family during this
difficult time.

3) Truth or Fiction
Do cell phones really cause explosions at the gas pump? Is Bill
Gates giving away money for email addresses that you forward to
him? Are telemarketers going to start flooding me with calls on
my cell phone?
These are just a few of the emails that have graced my inbox
over the past couple of years. And although I tend to smile at
any such fact that doesn't link back to a credible news source
on the Web, how can you tell if such information is truth or
fiction? The easiest way, check out TurthorFiction.com a Web
site dedicated to enlightening us on such matters.

P.S. We've been saying that it's easy to put these databases
