Looking for an excuse to visit Florida in March? We've
scheduled an askSam training at our Perry, Florida office. See
below for details.
The Iraqi election is the big news today. I've included a link
in the newsletter to a BBC News site that provides a great
overview.
Continuing our tradition of turning legislative texts and other
information into askSam databases, we've brought the Sarbanes-
Oxley Act into a searchable askSam database. We've had a lot of
people ask how we bring this information into askSam, so as a
Tech Tip, we've written down the steps.
Best,
Phil Schnyder

The first Iraqi election since the removal of Saddam Hussein

2) Sarbanes-Oxley Act in askSam (FREE DOWNLOAD)
Signed in the wake of the Enron and Worldcom scandals, the
Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 reformed public accounting practices
and other corporate governance processes. We've imported the
complete legislative text into a searchable askSam database.
This is a free download and can be searched and viewed with
either askSam or with a copy of the free askSam Viewer.

3) Tech Tip: Turning Legislative Text into a Searchable Database
We've had a lot of people ask how we turn legislative texts
(like Sarbanes-Oxley) into searchable askSam databases. Our
Tech Tip this month details how we took the text from Sarbanes
and brought it into askSam. It works similarly for other
legislative text and information.
