SurfSaver 6 Beta Release - Save & Search Web Pages
In 1998 we released the first version of SurfSaver. At that time several of us had noticed our reading habits switching from print media to the Web. We were increasingly reading newspapers, magazines, and newsletters on-line rather than "on paper". Being packrats, we wanted a way to save the information we were reading... that's why we created SurfSaver.
SurfSaver integrates directly with Internet Explorer and lets you permanently save the articles you read and information you gather on the Web. Not only do you have permanent copies, but you can also easily search the information you collect.
The new version of SurfSaver is a major redesign of the user interface, and using SurfSaver is now faster and more convenient. We've made it easier to browse through saved pages, and also made it more convenient to save into different folders. You can find a complete list of new features in SurfSaver 6 on our Web site.

Over the past 6 years, I've gathered 170 MB of saved Web pages with databases for:
Ÿ Technical information
Ÿ Marketing tips
Ÿ Competitive research
Ÿ Receipts from my on-line shopping
Ÿ Reviews of our products
Ÿ Humor (jokes, amusing articles, etc.)
Ÿ Articles about friends
Ÿ Political articles
Ÿ Photos (that friends and family post on the Web)
Ÿ Recipes
... for me, it's a lot of useful information.
You can download a trial of the Beta version from our Web site at: http://www.askSam.com/beta/surfsaver6. You'll also find detailed information about the new features, as well as on-line documentation.
With the way Web pages come and go, I've found SurfSaver a useful companion over the years. I invite you to give it a try and let me know what you think.
