On-Line Conversions and askSam SDK

The Surf Report - vol. 42 www.askSam.com
================================================================
Tuesday, June 28, 2004
In an attempt to be a better husband, I tried to cook a gourmet
meal for my wife. Ended up stuck converting some of the
measurements for my ingredients... to my rescue, this month's
featured site: OnLineConversions.com.
Last month we mentioned the askSam SDK, but we didn't have much
information available on our Web site. This month we're better
prepared. We've set up a part of our site for askSam Developers.
We're extending our special offer on the askSam SDK.
Speaking of development... we're working on a server-based
product to archive email. If you're interested in Beta testing,
see below.
Marlinda, who has edited the Surf Report for the past couple of
years, has moved on to other adventures. We'll miss her around
here and wish her all the best.
Enjoy,

1) OnLineConversions.com - Convert Just About Anything.
This site is definitely worth bookmarking. OnLineConversions.com
does exactly what it says, it provides links to all sorts of
conversion calculators: length/distance, weight, temperature,
cooking, and a bunch of obscure ones (the site claims over
5,000 units, and 50,000 conversions).
Check it out at: http://www.onlineconversion.com

2) askSam SDK & askSam Developer Web Site
In the last Surf Report, we announced the askSam SDK - a
way for programmers to incorporate the askSam free-form database
into applications that they create. We did not have a lot of
information available explaining the SDK, but we do this month.
If you'd like to learn more about the SDK or take advantage of
our introductory offer see our new Developer Web Site:

it's important that they stay organized and not let things fall

7) Tip of the month...
Archiving AOL / Web-Based email with askSam - As you may know,
askSam is able to import and archive email stored in most major
email applications, such as Outlook, Eudora, etc. However, many
askSam users have email accounts with other systems like AOL,
Yahoo Mail, MSN or HotMail. Although we don't have a direct way
to import these into askSam, archiving messages from these
systems is actually a lot easier than you might think.
