Project Desk -- On-line Project Management System

We're excited to announce Project Desk as a new addition to the askSam family.

Project Desk is a Web-based project management application that promotes collaboration and team-work to optimize performance when managing projects. Project Desk supports on-line discussion groups where team members can discuss projects and provides a module for files and documents (for example project specifications, graphics, etc.). It is entirely accessible via the Web and email and performs well even over a dial-up Internet connection.

Project Desk lets a project manager set up projects, assign users to different project teams, delegate tasks to the team members, and track the progress of each project. Team members can view and update the status of their tasks. The project manager can assign new tasks, create new projects, and monitor the status of each project and team member.

Because Project Desk is on the Internet, all team members (even remote users) are able to update the status of their tasks. Project Desk also automatically sends email when new tasks are assigned, when tasks are due, or when a member is past a deadline.
