NEW FROM ASKSAM: PROJECT DESK - ON-LINE PROJECT MANAGEMENT
We're excited to have a new addition to the askSam family -
Project Desk. Project Desk is a Web-based project management
application.
Project Desk lets a project manager set up projects, assign
users to different project teams, delegate tasks to the team
members, and track the progress of each project. Team members
can view and update the status of their tasks. The project
manager can assign new tasks, create new projects, and monitor
the status of each project and team member.
Because Project Desk is on the Internet, all team members (even
remote users) are able to update the status of their tasks.
Project Desk also automatically sends email when new tasks are
assigned, when tasks are due, or when a member is past a
deadline.
Project Desk promotes collaboration on projects. It supports
on-line discussion groups where team members can discuss
projects. There is also a module for files and documents (for
example project specifications, graphics, etc.). Project Desk
is entirely accessible via the Web and email and performs well
even over a dial-up Internet connection.
Project Desk was originally developed by the company DeskShare,
who is now partnering with askSam. Give it a try and let us

REAL ESTATE COMPANY USES ASKSAM TO MANAGE LISTINGS AND WEB SITE

My job is to create fact sheets about the properties listed with
Grady Moore Real Estate. These fact sheets are printed for a
listings book in the office and for posters, flyers, ads, etc.
The fact sheets are also used on our Web site (http://www.GradyMoore.com).
This use to be a much harder job before askSam. Before we
started using askSam, I created (and printed) fact sheets in
Word and then converted them with FrontPage to publish them on
our Web site. I also had to rely on another company to manage
our Web site. I had to send changes to them and pay to update
the site. Now using askSam, and hosting our site with them,
I'm able to update our site and upload the file to the server
myself. The changes and additions are automatically displayed as
soon as I finish the upload. I can't begin to tell you how much
time and money this has saved us.
