Citation 8 was the most successful upgrades we ever released.
The new HTML
help system, faster searches, active URLs, improved
notes features, and other enhancements got a warm welcome from Citation users
everywhere.

Citation 8.2 is going to be even more popular.
We've added the features most requested by our users: a useful set of note
features, indexes for the styleguide, enhanced searching, unique Cite keys -
and more!

Click the new Add Note button on your bibliographic record to enter a note
for an important passage.
Note records are automatically linked to the bibliographic
record now!
To continue adding notes from the same source work, just click the
Add Note button on the Note record.
|


The Short List View now lists notes taken from a source work with the entry for the source -
along with the first line of the excerpt -
so that you can instantly locate the excerpt you want to incorporate
in your paper!

Getting notes from your database to your paper
is now as simple as clicking the Cite button!
To insert an excerpt - along with the key to cite it properly -
just click the Cite button on the Short List view.

When your are getting ready to start writing a new
paper or lecture, the first thing you want to do is
to review the research you've collected. Citation's
new Generate Notecards feature makes it easier
than ever to do this.
The Generate Notecards feature lets you
write notecards for entries in your database easily and quickly.
The Generate Notecards dialog lets you choose to write notecards for
Bibliographic records (source works), Note records,
or both.
In addition to choosing the type
of records to include in your notecards, you can choose to
print notecards for records that contain a keyword or phrase.

The notecards are written to a word processing document
you can print and take with you to your favourite study spot!

Citation's Universal StyleGuide, released with version 8.2,
has hundreds of examples for entering bibliographic
information on various types of source materials, making Citation unique
in it's unprecedented support for scholarly writing.
For Citation 8.2, we've added dozens of examples to the Citation StyleGuide,
for internet sources and legal materials - and - we've made all the examples easier to find:
we've now created indexes for the different academic styles,
based on the numbering systems used in your favourite academic styles -
APA, MLA, and Turabian.*.

Click the Link to File button in the Reference field to browse
your computer for files, and then insert the link
into your Citation database!
Links can be entered in any Citation field - using the
new Link to file feature on the Edit menu.
Just click the Browse button, navigate to the file,
and click OK. An active link is inserted into your datafile!
You can link to full text of articles you've downloaded in pdf format
(or any other pdf file), word processing documents, graphics, spreadsheets,
power point presentations, askSam databases, related Citation datafiles, text files --
