Alpha/Numerical Codes Database -- to help you read and
understand the codes included in your Individual Master File
(IMF) and Business Master File (BMF) from the IRS. Most people
don't realize that the IRS keeps several systems of records on
us. At the very least, everyone has an Individual Master File
concerning them called an IMF. You can get this file by
requesting it through a Freedom of Information Act Request to
the disclosure office of the IRS.
