The Research/Intelligence Analyst Program was initiated in 1992. It is a four-year History major designed to produce a graduate who is qualified as an entry-level research intelligence analyst for government and the private sector.
Now in its tenth year, R/IAP has 150 students and 100 graduates being placed in positions with law enforcement agencies, major federal agencies, and corporations nationwide.
Inherent in R/IAP training, is the use of all-source public domain information and the creation of tailored databases. Once downloaded the materials become immediately searchable and with a minimum of editing we can tailor reports that assist in the analytical process.
The Intelligence cycle consists of:
Ÿ Tasking
Ÿ Planning
Ÿ Collection
Ÿ Correlation
Ÿ Analysis
Ÿ Dissemination
Collected information is placed in askSam where it is then edited so that tailored reports may be generated. These reports are then used to identify pertinent information upon which analysis is based.
All students must be able to organize collected information, evaluate it, and analyze it. askSam provides a very user friendly format for them to do this in. We don't have to spend a lot of time teaching students the program.
With askSam's Educational License the program is very affordable in a teaching setting.
We have had a relationship with askSam System for years and look forward to implementing the Web Publisher to our program in the near future.
