TextPipe Pro - Powerful Text Manipulation And Importing Tool

At a recent computer conference we met the developers of TextPipe, an outstanding application for manipulating text. After a brief demonstration, we were convinced that TextPipe would be ideal for askSam users faced with information from a variety of sources.

askSam can import Word documents, text files, HTML files, and turn them into searchable databases. The problem is that the text you want to import may need manipulation: extraneous characters removed, fields added or other changes to make the text useful and presentable. That's where TextPipe comes in.

Ÿ     Remove unwanted garbage and binary characters.

Ÿ     Search and replace using pattern matching to re-arrange date, formats and names, fix capitalization of names, fix phone numbers etc. You can also correct common data entry errors using sounds-like and mistyped word matching.

Ÿ     Modify sections of database files before bringing them into askSam.

Ÿ     Extract data from databases and modify data in specific columns or rows.

Ÿ     Reformat and standardize electronic text to add structure (including askSam fields) and import it into an askSam database.
