Topic Web Publisher 3.0 is submitting 2-Digit Years
Applies_To askSam Web Publisher
Version 3.0
Last_Update December 29, 1999
Question I have loaded K version for both askSam 3.0 and Web Publisher 3.0. I have checked the setting in OPTIONS->DATE/TIME FORMATS in the askSam file that the date is submitting to. So I know that I have everything set-up right there. Yet, when I try to submit to my file using my online form it is still submitting a 2-digit year. How do I correct this?
Answer
Resolution You will need to go to your web-server and logon to it as Administrator. Then go to START->SETTINGS->CONTROL PANEL->REGIONAL SETTINGS and change the short date format to mm/dd/yyyy or to any other format that uses a 4-digit year. This will not change any of the existing records in the database. It will only affect any records that you add in the future.
Note: This requires NT Service Pack 6.0 to be installed on the server also.

"askSam is an essential part of my software tool chest. I can research and collect data from anywhere and any source. Once it is in askSam I can edit, rearrange, organize, and search the information easily. Then I can present it and make it totally useful for other people via the web or CD. Fantastic!"
