 Applies_To askSam for Windows

    Version 3.x

Last_Update September 17, 1996

Question

If I insert a picture that is longer than the window length showing on screen, I seem only to be able to see the top portion of the picture - even when scrolling downwards.

Answer

askSam does not seem to recognize the size of the picture so it is not aware that there should be a vertical scroll bar at the right side of the screen.  This problem is being addressed in the next version of askSam (4.0).  However, there are a few work-arounds for this problem.

Resolution

Try one of the following:

1. Choose View -> Zoom and reduce the magnification to see the whole picture.

2. Resize the picture

3. Insert some empty lines, then position the cursor between the empty lines before inserting the picture.

"askSam is an essential part of my software tool chest. I can research and collect data from anywhere and any source. Once it is in askSam I can edit, rearrange, organize, and search the information easily. Then I can present it and make it totally useful for other people via the web or CD. Fantastic!"
