Question When askSam searches a file on a Windows NT 4.0 Server very slowly if the file is opened by multiple people with the askSam network version.


Answer You will need to install Windows NT Service Pack 6a on the server to fix this problem. This problem may also cause the program to lock-up or hang and stop responding to input.


Resolution Installing Windows NT Service Pack 6a will fix this problem. The client Operating System does not have to be updated but the server does. Also, Windows 2000 Servers do not have this problem.
