Question
The Search Results Screen disappears when I'm clicking on links in pages I'm viewing.
OR
I tried to do a "List All", and the program immediately opens the first page, then closes the search results window.
Answer
Some pages have HTML codes that cause the document to load in a full Windows. This will cause the Search Results Window to disappear.
Occasionally, there are scripts on web pages that will cause the SurfSaver search results window to close prematurely. We have a file in Surfsaver that contains a list of these scripts, so that SurfSaver can ignore them. However, in the ever-changing world of the internet, there are new scripts being used all the time, so occasionally we may have to update this list.
If SurfSaver immediately closes the search results window and jumps to the first page saved, there is probably a script on that page that is forcing the results to close. We can usually add this scripts to our ignore list and it should allow you to keep your search results window open, so you can browse to the other saved pages.
Resolution
If you could tell us the URL of the first saved page, we can go to the site, reproduce this and correct it. Send the URL to tech@asksam.com.
