Question Can I use a scanner and scan into askSam?

Answer Scansoft's Omni Pro v.11 OCR software has a feature called direct scan.

When you set it up, it puts an option in the askSam File menu called "Acquire

text". So all you have to do is put your cursor in the new or existing

askSam document  where you want the scanned material to be, click on Acquire Text,

and it scans directly into the document and performs OCR on the image to

turn it into text.

Xerox Textbridge also places it's name in 'File' so you can call it from within askSam, and place the document where you want it. OCR is automatic if you wish.
