Question

Since I deleted some documents, I wish to reset my document counter number that the auto-numbering function uses, can I do this?

Yes, you need to reset the number on the OPTIONS -> FILE PREFERENCES drop down menu

Resolution:

Use the following steps:

1. In your file, choose Options -> File Preferences

2. Look down near the bottom left hand corner of the dialog box

3. In the box for Document Counter, place the number you wish to reset to

4. Choose OK

That will reset the number so that new documents added will start with the new number.
