Question The "Registration Reminder" window keeps popping up asking me to register the program. I have tried registering and even clicking "Register Never", but it just keeps coming back.

Answer Something may be blocking this information from being written to your system registry.
Try temporarily disabling your anti-virus software or any other programs that might be monitoring your system registry. Then try opening askSam, and click "Register Never". Then close and reopen askSam, and see if the registration window appears.
If it does not appear, the program has been registered.
If it still pops up, you will have to manually change a setting in your registry to fix this.
Resolution To correct this, please follow the steps below:
WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. askSam cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
To manually turn off the "Registration Reminder" window:
1.) First, close any instances of askSam that may be open.
2.) Go to the Registry Editor by clicking START > RUN, type "regedit", and press ENTER.
3) Browse to the following directory:
(For askSam 6.x)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\askSam\Windows\6.0\User Registration
(For askSam 5.x)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\askSam\Windows\5.0\User Registration
(For askSam 4.x)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\askSam\Windows\4.0\User Registration

4) On the right is an icon that says "Registered". Double-click on it.
5) Set "Value data:" to 1, and click OK.

6) Close Registry Editor by clicking the X in the upper right corner.
The "Registration Reminder" window should no longer appear.
