Question
I created a file with a new entry form in Arial font. Now when I go to Add With Entry Form and type into the fields, the closing square bracket moves as I type. This has never occurred with Courier New font. Is there any way to prevent closed fields from changing their length?
Answer
You must use non-proportional fonts when entering fixed field data. Proportional fonts, such as Arial, will push the data around because each individual character is not the same size.
Resolution
Non-proportional fonts you should use include Courier New, Courier, Terminal.

"askSam is an essential part of my software tool chest. I can research and collect data from anywhere and any source. Once it is in askSam I can edit, rearrange, organize, and search the information easily. Then I can present it and make it totally useful for other people via the web or CD. Fantastic!"
