Question
I am trying to import information into a file created using the askSam 2.0 clipping template. When I import, it does not have the template fielding. The documents do not have the entry form fields with it. Why not?
Answer
Only askSam for Windows version 3.0 includes an option to import into an entry form.
Resolution
When using version 2.0, you may be able set askSam to recognize some information as a field. If, for instance, the word "Date:" appears in each of your imported documents, you can define a colon (:) as a field character under Options -> File Preferences, and type "Date:" in that file's entry form.
