Question

How do I import a regular text file into an askSam file?

Answer

Use the Import option under the File menu and set the file type to Text files (*.TXT).

Resolution

Use the following steps:

1. Open your askSam file and choose File -> Import

2. Under File Type choose Text Files (*.TXT)

3. Choose Set Options

4. Select an appropriate document delimiter if one exists on your text file. (For separating the text file into askSam documents.)

5. Choose OK

6. Choose the text file in the correct subdirectory, and choose OK to begin the import

7. Choose Close when the import is complete
