Question

I'd like to export documents to a text file by number from x to y (eg from 456 to 489 out of 600 documents), but can't see a way to do it. The documents don't have anything in common, except for being non-fielded information.  Can this be done?

Answer

If the documents have a number field in them you can use that as a selection. Otherwise, there is no way to select specific document numbers for exporting.  You have to have a physical field in the documents; the counter at the bottom is not part of the actual documents.  This feature is being evaluated for a future version of askSam.

"askSam is an essential part of my software tool chest. I can research and collect data from anywhere and any source. Once it is in askSam I can edit, rearrange, organize, and search the information easily. Then I can present it and make it totally useful for other people via the web or CD. Fantastic!"
