Topic Error message when trying to use the Phone

Question When I try to use the "Dial Phone Number" option in askSam 4.0, I get the message "Cannot find the file 'DIALER.EXE' (or one of its components).  Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available." What is the problem?

Answer askSam 4.0 uses the Windows Phone Dialer. Chances are, that component isn't installed on your computer.

Resolution Follow these steps to install the windows Phone Dialer

1) Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Windows Setup

2) Highlight Communications, click on Details.

3) Put the check in "Phone Dialer" and click on OK.

4) Click on OK again, insert the Windows CD (if it asks for it), and reboot the computer.

Once the computer has been restarted, you should be able to use the "Dial Phone Number" option in askSam.
