Question

I am only able to find word(s) that match the exact case when I am searching with the Web Publisher for the word.

Answer

Case Sensitive is turned on for the askSam file.

Resolution

askSam stores whether the file should be searched in case sensitive mode within the file. When the askSam Web Publisher looks at a file is detects this setting as being on. You will need to open the file with askSam for Windows and Turn the Case Sensitive search off.

1. Select Options -> File Preferences

2. Remove the "x" from next to the Case Sensitive Option.

3. Select File -> Pack.

"askSam is an essential part of my software tool chest. I can research and collect data from anywhere and any source. Once it is in askSam I can edit, rearrange, organize, and search the information easily. Then I can present it and make it totally useful for other people via the web or CD. Fantastic!"
