Question I have installed Web Publisher on a Windows 2000 server. When I go to access the file published through the Web Publisher, I receive following error.
CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of
HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:
Answer This error occurs because some DLLs are missing in your Scripts directory.
Resolution
1. Please go to the server machine where Web Publisher is installed. If you have administrator access to the server from your PC, that is fine too.
2. Open the DOS prompt.
3. On the DOS prompt, go the Scripts directory where Webadmin4.exe resides.
4. Type "webadmin4" so that it will execute the program through DOS.
5. There are two possibilities that could happen here.
a) Webadmin4.exe will run fine and it will return HTTP headers on the DOS prompt.
b) Webadmin4.exe will not run fine (which seems to be the case) and it will pop up an error message saying that some DLLs are missing.
6. You can write down the names of those DLLs.
7. Next, you can search those DLLs on your server's machine by going to START > SEARCH > Files or Folders
8. If you find those DLLs, you can copy those to the Scripts Directory.
