Question I've created a master database with links to databases I use frequently. How can make my computer open this master database as soon as start my computer. It would be really helpful.
Answer Yes, there is a way to do that. Please follow the steps below.
1. Using Windows Explorer, browse up to the master database file.
2. Right click on it and choose create shortcut.
3. Right click on the shortcut and choose properties.
4. In the Target field, type following (including quotes) -
"C:\Program Files\askSam\askSam5\askSam.exe" "C:\databases\master.ask"
Database path to the master file will vary depending on your the location of your master database.

5. In the Start field, type following (including quotes) -
"C:\Program Files\askSam\askSam5\"
6. After this, select this shortcut and click on Edit > Cut.
7. Browse upto C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Start Menu\Programs\, where UserName is your user name that you use to log on to your computer.
8. Click on Edit > Paste.
9. After this, your computer should open the master database automatically.
