Question Can I add new or foreign dictionary files to askSam? If so what language dictionary files are available?

Answer Yes you can add new dictionary files to askSam. We have a large list of dictionary files available for you to use. They are available here under Dictionary Files.

Resolution You must add the dictionary files in your Edit Dictionary menu.

1. Once you have downloaded your language files from us you must extract them.

2. Now that you've done that you must open an askSam 6.x database.

3. Go to a document where you are able to use the Spell Checker

4. Open the Check Spelling menu by clicking on the icon, Tools -> Spelling, or pressing F7 if you haven't modified that control.

5. Once you are inside the Check Spelling menu click Edit Dictionaries.

6. Click Add File

7. You'll now be able to browse for your dictionary files, they will be in the location you extracted them to.

7. Select your Dictionary File (Note: our dictionary file type format is .tlx)

8. Click Open. You will now be able to use other dictionary files when you use your spellchecker.
