Navigating Through the File
This Bible database contains the Old and New Testaments and is arranged with one chapter per document. To page through the file, use the Document Movement Arrows:

to take you the the First Document, Previous Document, Next Document, or Last Document.
There are two fields at the top of each document which tell you which book and testament you are viewing.
Searching
There are several search options in the Main Menu to choose from:
ź Quick Search - Enter a word or phrase in the prompt dialog. Searches entire file.
ź Advanced Search - Combine any search from the Actions menu into one request.
ź Search Old Testament - Search for a word or phrase found only in the Old Testament.
ź Search New Testament - Search for a word or phrase found only in the New Testament.
ź Search in Book - Enter the name of a book in which to search, then a word or phrase to search for.
ź Output Sentence Containing... - Displays the sentence containing a word or phrase you search for. The results are output in a separate file. Double click on any line to view the exact document the result came from. Press CTRL+TAB to return to the search results.
You may also use the Search Line and search for any word or phrase in the file. Enter the Search Line by pressing your ESC key or by clicking anywhere on the line.

Just type a single word, a phrase (by surrounding the words with brackets: [ and ] ), or use boolean logic (and, or, not) to combine search words.
Also, if you have askSam 5 Professional Version, you can index the file and get super fast search retrieval.
Bookmarks and Hypertext Links
You can make your own bookmarks no favorite places and set a Hypertext Link to take you there.
1. Choose Document -> Set Bookmark while your cursor is in the spot you want to mark.
2. Name the bookmark and choose OK.
3. Highlight a word or phrase you want to be the link.
4. Choose Document -> Set Hypertext Link
5. Select Bookmarks in current file, and then the bookmark you just set. Choose OK.
You can also embellish your hypertext links with icons (like the Bible images we used on this screen).
