Need stats? We have a couple of great places to go on the net
for world facts and statistics - The World Factbook and
NationMaster.
Also, we'll take a look at how TextAloud can be used with askSam
and how it adds funtionality to askSam eBooks. Plus, we have a
couple of new eBooks for you to search online or download and
new dates for askSam trainings here in Florida.

1) The World Factbook
The World Factbook is produced by CIA's Directorate of
Intelligence. The Factbook is a comprehensive resource of facts
and statistics on more than 250 countries and other entities.
Country information has been updated as of April 21, 2005 and is
available alphabetically by country or by search.
For more statiscal comparison information try NationMaster.
NationMaster offers a handy way to graphically compare nations.
NationMaster is a vast compilation of data from such sources as
the CIA World Factbook, United Nations, World Health
Organization, World Bank, World Resources Institute, UNESCO,
UNICEF and OECD. You can generate maps and graphs on all kinds
of statistics. The site currently contains 5,703 stats.

2) TextAloud & askSam - Turn any askSam text into audio.
Last month we introduced you to TextAloud. A great program by
NextUp that reads text from email, web pages, reports and more,
aloud on your PC. It even saves your daily reading to an audio
file for playback on your portable music player.
What we didn't tell you was how well TextAloud works with askSam.
TextAloud reads any text on the screen making it the perfect
companion for reading all the text, research and articles you
save in askSam.
I save articles all the time using askSam and SurfSaver, not to
mention the free ebooks available on the askSam website. But
where do I find the time to read them? Truth is, I don't. That is
until now - TextAloud reads them for me while I'm driving in my car.
Best of all, whether you want to read email, web pages, Word
documents or askSam information - TextAloud is simple to use.
Here are a few tips to get started using TextAloud with askSam...
1. Use HotKeys - Hotkeys allow you to simply highlight an article
or portion of text, press a key, and automatically hear the text
read aloud. To setup hotkeys go to: OPTIONS -> HOTKEY
2. Make MP3s - This is my favorite feature. Simply highlight an
article or portion of text and press the shortcut key you set for
"Import New". Go to TextAloud and click the "Speak to File"
button. You now have an MP3 of that text to take with you on your
next plane trip, doctor's appointment, or jog.
3. Be creative - With askSam you can create reports to output
entire databases to the screen and then use TextAloud to read or
capture that entire database to MP3 (I'm listening to Hamlet
now). Also, use TextAloud to read all those atricles you
have saved into SurfSaver.
4. Real Voices - Be sure to purchase the additional AT&T True
