Surf Report vol. 9: The Hidden Web

Did you know that most of the information on the Internet is
"hidden" in databases? This information is invisible to the
standard search engines (Google, AltaVista, Excite, etc), but
there are other ways to search this hidden content. This month
I'll tell you how.
In other news, we have a couple of new product announcements.
First, we've released askSam v4.1. The new version improves
askSam's ability to import email and adds several other
features. This is a free upgrade to current askSam 4.0 users.
Second, we've integrated SurfSaver with the meta-search tool,

SEARCHING THE INVISIBLE WEB
Did you know that most of the information on the Internet is

I saw a new Oracle press release about saving billions of

Hi everyone,
I am the marketing manager for askSam Systems, and I'd like
to welcome you to the Surf Report, our monthly newsletter.
Sorry for the long absence of the Surf Report, but frankly
we were too busy programming software to write it. The good
news is all the hard work has paid off and we've released the
askSam version 4.0.
The Surf Report is now a part of my job, and will become
a monthly occurrence. This issue we'll be writing about News.
Don't know about you, but over the past couple of years my
habits for getting news have changed dramatically. I read more
news on the Web and subscribe to a few newsletters... at the
expense of magazines, newspapers, and TV.
