Google is beta testing a News service that searches the past
week's news from sources around the world. Read Phil's article
for the details.
Speaking of beta testing, the askSam SDK Beta (Software
Development Kit) is now available. The SDK lets you program
applications using the askSam database engine. If you're a
programmer, give it a try. I think you'll love it.

The search engine Google is currently beta testing a service
that lets you search the latest news stories. The Google News
Search sifts through the past week's news from magazines and
newspapers around the world... and presents the results in a
very useful way.

COUNTRY LIBRARY PUTS PUBLIC DOCUMENTS ON THE WEB WITH ASKSAM
Without dedicated IT staff or a large budget, Boyd Bruce,
