I am using Windows XP professional and the Microsoft Pinyin IME 2003 to enter Chinese/Japanese etc. characters in a text. The problem is: When I try to enter characters in Asksam, a bar opens and shows a selection of characters from which I can choose (so far, that's all correct). The characters, however, are not directly inserted into the text (which would be the usual way), but into a small window with a green arrow ... Search for more...
