I'm sorry to hear about your frustration with SurfSaver. We are not ignoring user requests. A firefox version of SurfSaver has been on our list for quite some time. Unfortunately we have not yet been able to jusify the time to port SurfSaver over to the Firefox environment. I know it sounds like a simple change but the internal workings of SurfSaver were written specifically to save, tag and search pages in IE. The format of FireFox is quite different. | We have released Beta 9 (build 137) of askSam 7 and are considering this a final release candidate. The corrections made in this build are specific to this forum. We greatly appreciate the input we have received.
We know there are still changes to be made and promise to continue to work on askSam after release. With the new "Check for Updates" feature it will be much easier to produce updates to fix reported issues.

The ADD button has been removed. You can simply click on the next line to add another item. Tab should also work but it seems to be skipping a line. I will get this reported to Kevin. The Word List button does need better positioning but it works and it's odd but mine is not off as much as yours. I am not seeing the text in Max Hits field -- it seems to work for me and I'm not getting crashed after inserting an operator -- we will continue to test these. I do see the problem with Word ... |

| I am very sorry that you are having so many problems with this version and can't understand why this is happening. We did our normal testing inhouse (which I know you do not trust) but I also had 3 other users outside our office (and not on our forums) download and test without difficulty. I too am interested to hear from others on the stability of this version.
We have not "skated lightly" over problems reported on this forum - we have corrected over 350 issues since the beginning of this ... |

| We have released Beta 9 (build 135) of askSam 7 and are considering this a release candidate. We have made major improvements to folder load speed and feel that this version removes all known serious issues involving crashing and lock-ups.
We know there are still changes to be made and promise to continue to work on askSam askSam release. With the new "Check for Updates" feature it will be much easier for us to produce monthly or bi-monthly updates to fix reported issues.

To ensure you have build 132, after updating, go to HELP -> ABOUT ASKSAM to check the build number. If you have problems with auto-update please post in the askSam 7 Beta forum.

| We located the issue with askSam Beta 8 (build 129) and are very sorry for the inconvenience. It seems that a change we made effected overall performance including opening files, searching, folders, and reports on XP machines. Somehow the problem did not surface during in-house testing.
The official askSam 7 Beta 8 (build 130) is now available. To update your copy of askSam simply open askSam and choose HELP -> CHECK FOR UPDATES. Follow the instructions to install Beta 8.
