Setup on Windows Server 2008
Posted: 02 Oct 2009 10:21 AM
Followed the instructions to setup Web Publisher 7 on a Windows Server 2008 box running IIS 7. When we try to get the cgi program working and point to it with a web browser. it just says asks us to "Save File" or "Cancel" The exe does not actually run.

We followed the instructions to make sure the CGI feature is turned on, Added WebAdmin7.exe as an ISAPI or CGI with the correct path, and make the Handler Mappings a executable. Not sure what else to try?

Thanks Paul

Make sure you also have "ISAPI Extensions" installed. This is located in the Control Panel/Programs and Features/Turn Windows Features on or off. In this dialog, you will find this under:
Internet Information Services
- World Wide Web Services
-- Application Development Features

It should be listed right below the CGI option
