importing access query tables
Posted: 08 Jan 2004 02:06 PM
How can I import access query tables into asksam?
If I choose importing an access file I just have the possibility to import one ore more tables out of the general table section.
I need to import tables out of the query section (kind of importing the search results of related tables). Is there a way to do this?

Thanks for tipps

There is no direct way to import query tables. However, there is a work-around for that. Please follow these steps -

1. Run the Query on Access database.
2. It will output you a table.
3. Click on File > Export and choose Microsoft Excel under the "Save As Type".
4. Your query table will be saved as an Excel Spreadsheet.
5. Open askSam. Create a new file or open the existing one.
6. Click on File > Import. Choose Microsoft Excel under "Files of Type". Select the Excel file and choose Import.
7. Your Query table will be imported into askSam.
