| 1. | Save Web to askSam problems in Win Vista Posted by jofo on 6/12/2008 8:37:37 AM Since I changed from XP to Vista I havn’t been able to save web pages to askSam in IE. Whenever I try a window pops up telling me, that the trial period for this copy of askSam has expired. Is there any way to fix this problem? I’m not running a trial version but a licensed version of AS 6.1
Running: Vista with all service packs, IE 7 and AS 6.1

| 2. | Page Setup error Posted by jofo on 1/3/2005 11:28:50 AM As a European user of askSam I really would like the support for other page sizes than Letter to be more consistent. I use A4-paper size and millimetres in stead of Letter size and inches but askSam doesn’t seem to like other paper sizes than Letter.
If I set the paper size in the report layout to be A4 and then run this report, the paper size of the resulting report is Letter. I have to manually correct the paper size to A4 every time I want to print something because askSam always ... |

| 4. | Re: Entry Form Properties are not persistent Posted by jofo on 2/7/2005 1:02:43 PM Dear Anant
Thank you for looking at our files. The insert location is changed whenever I EDIT the entry form. It is no problem using the entry form but as soon as I EDIT the entry form and save it, the insert locations is returned to file default. Then I have to change the insert location again and save it again.

| 5. | Re: Picklist - can one selection fill in multiple fields Posted by jofo on 1/22/2005 5:07:47 PM Dear Mark
A decent workaround could be the to have the Picklist in the first field typing all the fields.
E.g. the picklist in dept[ types "ee] lab[ nsl ] user[ mondol ] account[ 689000 ]"
I use this workaround my self. It works fine. All the fields have to be in the same line.

| 8. | Problems importing files with Non-English letters in the filname Posted by jofo on 4/5/2004 6:34:33 PM I’m unable to import any files containing non-English letters in the filename. It says File sharing error, Please ensure another application does not have {Folder name} opened.
It is really annoying as I am unable to import quite a lot of word files. This is a problem on my new laptop running Win XP Pro Danish version and not on my old one running Win 98 Danish Version.
I remember one of my colleagues having this problem under Win2k, but it was fixed with at ... |
| 9. | Re: Problems importing files with Non-English letters in the filname Posted by jofo on 4/9/2004 7:19:38 PM I have just tested it further and it seems to be more complicated than I first thought. I had actually no problems importing two word files with the names delta500 had tested.
The problem is certain combinations of certain non-English letters in the filename and it is not just related to Word files. The same problems apply to rtf-files.
One of the files, I cant import has this name: “Ólavsøkuprædikan hjá BDJ 2002.doc”
An other is “1. ... |

I can import all files on my old laptop, running Win 98 DK. You refer to my old message about the same problem on Win2k, but that problem was solved in a later version. It seems to have reappeared in Win XP.
Could some of you out there running Win XP please test if you can import a file with this name "Ólavsøkuprædikan hjá BDJ 2002.doc".
I hope that some better ... |
